Vampire Attack Patterns
There are different "flavors" of attacks that Agents can execute based on market conditions.
The "Blitzkrieg" (Flash Attack):
Goal: Quick extraction of liquidity from a weak project.
Method: Offer extremely high APY (e.g., 10,000%) for a short duration (24-48 hours). Trigger migration immediately once the threshold is hit.
Risk: High emission cost for the attacker.
The "Anaconda" (Slow Squeeze):
Goal: Gradual dominance over a blue-chip memecoin.
Method: Offer sustainable, moderate APY (e.g., 50-100%). Allow users to stake for weeks. As liquidity dries up on the rival DEX, slippage increases there, driving organic volume to CogniFi where liquidity is deeper.
The "Lazarus Fork" (Governance Attack):
Goal: Take over a project with a malicious dev.
Method: Combine the Vampire Attack with the Lazarus Wrapper. When users migrate, their $RIVAL tokens are automatically wrapped into $wRIVAL (which has the malicious dev keys revoked). The new pool is
wRIVAL / SOL.
Hostile Takeover Governance
In a "Lazarus Fork," the definition of the "Real Token" changes.
Legitimacy by Volume: If 80% of the trading volume moves to the
wRIVALpool on CogniFi,wRIVALeffectively becomes the asset.Social Consensus: The Agent supports this technical takeover with a social campaign (via the Twitter plugin), declaring the old token "unsafe" and the new token "community-owned."
